Pula

Pula is the largest city in Istria County and the eighth largest city in the country. Situated at the southern tip of the Istrian peninsula, with a population of around 50 000 people. The city has a long tradition of winemaking, fishing, shipbuilding, and tourism. Over history it has been Istria’s administrative center since ancient Roman times. The most known thing about Pula is a great amphitheater. Pula Arena was constructed between 27 BC – 68 AD much of it still standing to this day.
