Grožnjan is a small hill town in central Istria. The whole municipality has only around 700 inhabitants but it also has around 50 art galleries. Grožnjan also has an annual jazz festival held for two or three weeks, in the second half of July. In 2008 it won the European award for best small jazz festival.
