National Park Brijuni

The Brijuni or Brijuni Islands are a group of fourteen small islands located in the north part of Croatian Adriatic sea. Biggest island is Veliki Brijun ( Brijoni Grande) is only 1 mile from the mainland and a small town of Fažana. On the island of Veliki brijun u can find a big golf course. 1945 after World War II the Brijuni became part of Yugoslavia and President Marshal Josip Broz Tito made the Brijuni Islands his personal State Summer Residence. Remains of that era are still visible there.
